The workshop focuses on the role of memory traces and engrams for remembering. We intend to foster interdisciplinary dialogue on the theoretical foundations and empirical underpinnings of traces and engrams across philosophy, neuroscience, psychology, and related disciplines.<\/p>\n<p>The workshop will take place at Ruhr University Bochum, 18-20 February 2026.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Invited speakers:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Nikola Andonovski (Universit\u00e9 Grenoble Alpes)<\/li>\n<li>Andrea Blomkvist (University of Glasgow)<\/li>\n<li>Sen Cheng (Ruhr University Bochum)<\/li>\n<li>Kourken Michaelian (Universit\u00e9 Grenoble Alpes)<\/li>\n<li>Denis Perrin (Universit\u00e9 Grenoble Alpes)<\/li>\n<li>Sarah Robins (Purdue University)<\/li>\n<li>Markus Werkle-Bergner (Max Planck Institute for Human Development)<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>We invite submissions of abstracts for paper and poster presentations.<\/p>\n<p>Abstracts should be anonymous, not more than 250 words (not including references). Please submit your anonymized abstracts through our submission page.<\/p>\n<p>Participation in the workshop is free.<\/p>\n<p>Selected contributions from the workshop will be considered for publication in a dedicated special issue.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Submission deadline:<\/strong> 30 Nov 2025<br \/><strong>Notification of acceptance: <\/strong>15 Dec 2025<strong><br \/>Registration opens:<\/strong> 16 Dec 2025<\/p>\n<p>The workshop will be preceded by a masterclass with Kourken Michaelian (Universit\u00e9 Grenoble Alpes) on the philosophy of memory. The masterclass will be held on 17 February. A separate call for the masterclass will be distributed shortly.<\/p>\n<p>PLM is a European network of centers devoted to the Philosophy of Language and Mind.
