SUMMARY:Cognitive Neurobiology Joanes Grandjean (Nijmegen) Mice are not tiny humans (but brain network homologies exist!)
DESCRIPTION:Please save the date for the following talk hosted by the Cognitive Neurobiology (CNB) Department of the Ruhr-University Bochum. Feel free to forward this invitation: \nSpeaker: Dr. Joanes Grandjean\nAffiliation: Radboud University Medical Center & Donders Institute of Brain\, Cognition and Behavior\, Nijmegen\nTitle of the talk: Mice are not tiny humans (but brain network homologies exist!)\nDate: Tuesday\, April 28th\nTime: 4:00-5:30PM\nPlace: MB 7/159\nMap to MB Building: https://docs.google.com/presentation/d/15l6KlB_kiFDo1q1kasmRoa1sy0_aLdNE/edit?usp=sharing&ouid=112763147070832987178&rtpof=true&sd=true\nZoom Link: https://uni-goettingen.zoom-x.de/j/67216434824 (Meeting ID: 672 1643 4824) \nAbstract: Mice are an experimental model of choice in neuroscience\, but the translation to the human brain is a challenge. This is a roadblock to comparing mechanistic and interventional studies. I will present the different frameworks we have developed to establish translational links between brain networks in mice and humans\, in both healthy and disordered conditions. Finally\, I will showcase our efforts to federate rodent brain imaging\, including the contribution of Ruhr-Universität Bochum\, to evolve rodent network mapping to the era of big data . \nWe hope to see you there!
